Three Flavors of Puppy Popsicles

Summer’s not over yet and there’s still plenty of warm weather to be enjoyed! To help keep your dog cool and give him an extra-special treat, try one of these canine-friendly popsicle recipes.

Strawberry Kiwi:

Ingredients:

8 oz. strawberries
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt
3 kiwis

Directions:

Blend all ingredients in a blender. Pour into disposable cups or ice cube trays and freeze.

Peanut Butter Banana:

Ingredients:

1 banana
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup wheat germ

Directions:

Mash the banana and peanut butter together using a fork. Stir in the wheat germ and transfer mixture to disposable cups or ice cube trays. Place popsicles in the freezer until solid.

Chicken:

Ingredients:

1 cup low-sodium chicken stock
½ cup water
1 ½ ounces chicken meat, finely chopped

Directions:

Stir all ingredients together and pour into disposable cups or ice cube trays. Freeze before serving.
