Celebration of Life
We offer what we believe to be one of the most comprehensive services in the country for families who want to honor their pet’s life. We believe our “family first” approach will change the way people experience pet loss. We believe sadness and beauty are not mutually exclusive.
To learn more about our program, visit the Celebration of Life page.
Home Euthanasia
Pet euthanasia at home includes meeting your pet and family so that everyone feels comfortable with our veterinarian in your home. A pain and sedation medication is then given to help your pet relax and fall asleep. After you have spent time with your pet the last medication is given using a temporary IV catheter. Your veterinarian is updated after the appointment. For more details regarding the process review the Paws into Grace Ebook.
Our pricing information is available here. Fees for in-home euthanasia begin at $295.
Please call to schedule an appointment at 619-324-8610.
Hospice Appointments
Pet hospice care bridges the time between the point an owner decides to no longer pursue a cure and the moment the pet passes on. It is a brave step to take when you bring a beloved pet home knowing there is no cure to give them.
This may seem overwhelming, but the Paws Into Grace pet hospice team are there to guide you, comfort you and your pet, and offer support through the process.

Compassionate Counseling
Having reliable and professional support when caring for an old, sick or terminally ill companion animal can be priceless.
Elizabeth makes herself available around the clock as she understands, first hand, that we can find peace in any situation when we have the right support.
“There are no ridiculous questions or fears during these times. Everything is valid and when addressed and met with a compassionate ear, they become manageable.”
Elizabeth Allen is available by phone or home visits. The initial 15-minute phone consultation is complimentary.

Cremation
Following home euthanasia, most pet owners choose to have their pet’s remains individually cremated and returned to them. Though it is difficult to discuss with loved ones, be sure to think about the type of after-care you would like for your pet.
You may choose to have your pet’s ashes returned to you with individual cremation or if you do not wish to have your pet’s remains returned there are other options including communal cremation, burial at home or burial at a pet cemetery. Paws into Grace will coordinate these details for you. Additional information about cremation is available at our Aftercare page and memorial items can be found at our Memorial Page.
