To the very best friend in the whole world….our sweet baby Noodle. Here’s to all the car rides with the windows down, all the feathergrass you could ever roll in, every salty sandy trip to the beach for sunset, all the bike rides for extra pets at breweries, every chewy you could ever want, all the sunny porch naps, cuddles and snuggles for days where no one ever stops petting, all the toys that crinkle and squeak, always having a foot or a lap to rest your head on, and every glorious smell you could ever follow with that incredible nose. You’re free sweet baby. We rescued Noodle from Baja Dog Rescue in 2013. He was “the last of the litter” and while we weren’t looking for another dog at the time, we agreed to foster him so he wouldn’t have to go back to the shelter alone. 5 months of fostering turned into forever and we had no idea how lucky we would become. Noodle loved people and was happy just being close to someone. He was the best shepherd and refused to go to bed until everyone was tucked in. He stood by us through so many laughs and so many tears, always the protector and comforter. Through it all, his big fluffy tail never stopped wagging. From the second he heard the first person stir in the morning to the second he let out his last sigh at night, his tail was wagging. He loved car rides more than anything and if he heard the slightest key jingle he was up and ready at the door with his big puppy dog eyes begging to go on an adventure. He really, really loved sticking his head out the window and since we apparently weren’t rolling it down fast enough, he learned to do it himself. He battled food allergies, a heart murmur, going blind, and cancer and none of it ever slowed him down. He was the eternal optimist and taught us so much about living in the moment and appreciating life. Here’s to you, the most incredible dog we were so lucky to cross paths with. We will love you forever Pup Pup!! 5/17/13 – 5/26/24
