Today, I want to honor not just a pet, but my best friend—Bruiser.
He was always there for me, no matter what kind of day I was having. Whether life was good or bad, Bruiser was a constant source of comfort, love, and loyalty.

Bruiser was more than just strong in spirit—he was a true fighter. A three-time cancer survivor, he taught me what resilience and courage look like. No matter the challenge, he always met it with the same wag of his tail and the same love in his heart.
These last few days, I felt overwhelming sadness knowing our time together was short. But I did my best to keep it together, because I wanted Bruiser’s last days to be filled with the same joy and love he had always given me. I wanted him to feel peace, not pain; comfort, not worry. Those days were some of the hardest of my life, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything, because I got to give back to him just a little of what he gave me all these years.
But Bruiser wasn’t just brave—he was joyful. He loved the simple things: trips to the beach, sticking his head out the window on car rides, going to doggie daycare and enjoying a cup of froyo like it was the best treat in the world. In everything he did, he was full of love, not just for life, but for everyone lucky enough to know him.
I will miss him deeply—the sound of his paws, the way he looked at me with understanding eyes, and the way he made even the hardest days easier just by being there. But I know his love isn’t gone. It lives on in me, in the memories we made, and in the lessons he taught me about loyalty, strength, and joy.
Goodbye, Bruiser. Thank you for every moment, every memory, and every ounce of love you gave me. You were the best friend I could have ever asked for, and I will carry you in my heart forever.
Love, Jason & Tina Chuba
