This past Saturday (July 9, 2013) Dr. Benson came to our house to euthanize our beloved 14 year old Wheaten terrier, Wheatie.
She was as wonderful and as sensitive to the situation as the many positive reviews on Yelp have already attested. She arrived punctually, carefully explained the process to us, was lovely to both our younger dog and the ailing older, gave us time alone with him, and took care of his body with tenderness and care.
She was also very accommodating when we called her to check her out, answering all our questions and being available on a weekend so that my husband would have time to devote to this saddest part of cohabiting with a beloved pet. I should add that we researched pet home euthanasia and spoke with other vets who provide this service, and we were absolutely agreed that Dr. Benson was the best person to help us discharge this last loving gesture to our beloved Wheatie.
It was very difficult to see my dog paralyzed. After two surgeries and no positive outlook, our family made the incredible decision to put him to sleep. As difficult as the decision was, what was an easy consensus was to allow him to be in his favorite spot at home when this happened. We did not want to take him to a hospital and have them administer the medication in a strange environment, surrounded by strangers. We wanted him to be surrounded by the people he loved and in his favorite spot. Duke was in my arms and went peacefully.
The vets in this organization are amazing and caring.
Being that they are vets, they are equipped with not only extensive medical knowledge but also grace!
Dr. Benson was so wonderful when she came to our house yesterday. Our 12 year old Akita was very relaxed and Dr. Benson made the experience very peaceful. She also was so nice to our other dog and everything seemed natural. I can’t say enough good things about the way Dr. Benson made us feel.
We will miss our baby, but it was time to go.
I’m a big believer that things happen for a reason.
My boy Cheef who barely made it to 5 yrs old was diagnosed with Cancer-Lymphoma September 2012 on Labor Day weekend. I couldn’t imagine my life without my little boy, but as a realistic person I knew that the day would come to make that horrible decision.
I found out about a K9 Cancer walk event and I went. I walked around and checked out the booths, and that’s where I met Dr. Benson. I spoke to Dr. Benson for just a few minutes & took her information home. I went on her website & read about the home euthanazia. i said, “this is exactly what I was meant to find at that walk” I was so happy that I would be able to give my boy a dignified goodbye. I was so happy that by boy would pass away at home surrounded by those he loved and those who loved him vs a cold setting like a hospital where my boy would feel scared. Where everyone would see us crying as we walked out of the hospital.
When that day came on March 16th, Cheef let us know it was time, & I quickly called Dr. Benson who arranged for Dr. Pandi to come to our home that same day. Choosing Home Euthanazia was the BEST decision we could have made for our boy Cheef and for ourselves. I can’t even express just how compassionate Dr. Pandi was, and how patient she was and how she told us exactly what she was going to do & she never rushed us. My son was having a really hard time letting Cheef go, and Dr. Pandi understood our feelings and NEVER rushed us thru the process. Dr. Pandi let my son decided when and where. When Dr. Pandi left I had so much peace in my heart knowing that my boy Cheef had such a beautiful goodbye. I couldn’t have asked for more. Cheef didn’t jerk, take a last breath, he just left peacefully. For that I thank Dr. Pandi & Dr. Benson!
I can’t stop telling everyone I know who has a pet, this is the best thing ever!
Thank you Dr. Pandi& Dr. Benson for all that you do for our loving pets and for us who have to make this dificult decision sooner or later.
Price: The price was very very reasonable considering that I am close to down town san diego and they drove to my home and they transported Cheefs body to the cremation facility. I am sooo impressed by all that I witnessed. Thank you so much!
I can not say enough good things about Dr. Benson.
She is like an angel from heaven. While it was a very sad day for us, she made the whole experience so beautiful and peaceful. She showed so much love to my beautiful Sophie, and so much respect to me. I am so grateful to Dr. Benson and would highly recommend her.
It was of paramount importance to have my buddy put to sleep with utmost care. Dr. Benson, who I have known for years has extensive experience in both emergency and rountine care. I know her to be both compassionate and caring both to our dogs and kitty, as well as my family. When it came time to let my dog go, he was in his own bed and I was by his side as went off to sleep. I highly recommend Dr. Benson.
I am actually a veterinary student and have been a technician for many years (not affiliated with this company), so I had some very specific questions when it came to choosing a veterinarian to euthanize my doberman. I had called over 10 other clinics in town and had been really disappointed with the answers and the customer service I received, but upon speaking with Dr. Benson I was immediately comforted.
She explained the sedatives she uses which I really appreciated, and most importantly she seemed compassionate. Though I could not be there for the euthanasia (I am out of state) my family also felt that she really made the whole situation much more comfortable for them. As sad as it is to euthanize a family member, it certainly puts me at ease to know how peaceful she made the entire process.
Additionally, she was much more affordable than other at home services I had contacted.
Thank you Dr. Benson!
It was the hardest thing my wife and I have ever gone through.
Our beloved 9 year old Chocolate Lab Max was diagnosed with a Cancerous Tumor in his spleen and only given a short time to live.
We spent every moment with him for 3 days. The severity of his suffering came on extremely quick and we knew it was time for us to assist in his peaceful passing.
I gathered up my strength and call Paws into Grace early Sunday morning. Dr. Pandi answered and was so gracious and understanding as the words were hard to come by. On short notice, she agreed to meet us later that morning.
We wanted to give our beloved Child , Friend and Companion the Peace he so deserved. Dr. Pandi was a True Angel sent to assist us during this Heartbreaking Event.
Her Caring, Understanding and Gentle Words were a true gift to my wife and I.
Our Beloved never suffered, was at complete peace and Passed on to his next journey in our arms and hearing our whispers of love.
Dr Pandi was there for us through the entire process and for that I will always be truly grateful.
If you ever wonder and need the strength to make a decision such as this, I highly suggest you look into your heart. Your love for your beloved friend will guide you. This was the most wonderful gift we could have ever given our dear Max.
Dr. Pandi did all of the arrangements with Friends Forever so we could have a lasting memory. The cost was well below what I ever had imagined. Everything DrPandi did, mad this life altering event manageable when we thought i would have never been.
We owe Paws into Grace eternal gratitude.
