Phineas Cardenas was loved by so many people who graced his life and he graced theirs ten-fold despite one less leg to stand on. The blessing our last day together was. He woke up in less pain and was able to muster a few steps on walk through the garden. He enjoyed a double-double with fries and a pupcup. The sun came out and he bathed in its warmth again and then we watched a movie. He always pumped himself up “be brave Phineas” and that infectious attitude carries us forward today. We are so thankful for a wonderful day that broke through the somber feel leading up to it.
Dr. Benson started Paws into Grace in 2007.
She wanted to give pets and their parents a beautiful last encounter that didn't have to be in an unfamiliar office where pets were often frightened. The empathy she shows each family creates a lasting impression on them. In her free time, Dr. Benson enjoys running and spending time with her family, dogs, cats, and chickens.
