Here at Paws Into Grace, it’s our mission to help pet parents in the San Diego area say “goodbye” to their pets in a way that’s just as special as the first time they said “hello.”
We understand that the decision to euthanize a pet is a very difficult one, especially if he or she has been a part of your family from the time they were very little. The biggest reason that anyone chooses pet euthanasia–whether at home or in a pet hospital–is because they can’t stand to see their beloved dog or cat suffer for one more second.
Nothing illustrates the comfort that can be yours when choosing pet euthanasia at home than a recent segment that aired on San Diego radio station KYXY 96.5. During a recent segment of “Jeff and The Showgram,” host Jeff Detrow discussed the very difficult decision he had to make to say goodbye to his 9 year-old weimaraner, Rudy.
Rather than taking Rudy to the unfamiliar and often chaotic setting of a veterinarian’s office, Jeff and his family chose pet euthanasia at home through Paws Into Grace.
Rudy got to enjoy a meal of premium roast beef and cheese before he went to heaven, surrounded by the friends and family who had adopted him from the Humane Society and loved him his entire life.
We’re so thrilled that Dr. Elizabeth Benson was able to help ease the pain of the Detrow family, making Rudy’s passing something that could be special and not at all unpleasant like euthanasia in a pet hospital.
